Our favourite mild-flavoured turnip. Sow seeds 0.6 cm (1/4 in) deep 2 - 4 inches apart as soon as the soil can be worked in spring. Sow again in early August for a fall crop of small roots. Best picked at 5-8 cm (2-3 inches). Roots will store for a few months between 0 - 4°C at 90 - 95% humidity. Greens are edible and are delicious sautéed in some olive oil with a little crushed garlic and onion of some form.
